The human machineI finally did it, after all those years of putting up with their shit. Take that, corporate America! I headed down the hallway, towards the atrium, which had probably exorbitant amounts of money to build. I pressed the button. God, why couldn’t they make things work in these buildings? You’d think they’d fix things, instead of replacing them. The elevator was taking forever. I pressed the button until the little light flashed above the elevator. I never understood what that light was for. Shouldn’t you know which direction you want to go? Shouldn’t you have a reason for going there already?The human machine
